Artist Tessa Farmer, Machen's great-granddaughter, has organised Artists for Bibi, an, auction of work by contemporary artists, to help fund this.
The auction also includes a unique Machen association item, a painting presented to him by his fellow-actors in the Benson Company, 'David Garrick between Tragedy ad Comedy' (after Joshua Reynolds). The picture was on display in Arthur and his wife Purefoy's home for some years.
